How to vote for the DocFest Audience Award

The SIFF audience has long demonstrated a love for great docs, and we pride ourselves on bringing you the best. Attendees of our Seattle International Film Festival flock to documentaries and consistently rate them among the highest for audience awards. You clearly love documentaries—so, we created this festival just for you!

DocFest returns to SIFF Cinema Uptown October 3-10 and this year, you’re the judge. New in 2024 is the SIFF DocFest Audience Award - read on for your guide on how to get your tickets and cast your vote.

STEP 1: Get your tickets! You don’t need to see every DocFest film to cast your vote! Tickets for individual screenings are $9 for SIFF members and $14 for non-members (on sale September 4 for members and September 6 for non-members). Or, become a pass holder and DocFest connoisseur by casting a vote for all 15 films. Passes for the event are on sale for $75 for SIFF members and $100 for non-members.

STEP 2: Scan the VoteMo QR Code at your screening. After your screening, you’ll see a VoteMo QR code on screen and displayed as you exit the theater. Don’t want to scan QR codes? No problem. Go to our website and you’ll find a direct link to the individual voting on the screenings film detail page. But remember, voting is only open for 1 hour after your screening!

STEP 3: Vote! All that’s left to do now is cast your vote and let us know what you think! Once the votes are tallied, we will announce the inaugural SIFF DocFest Audience Award Winner on October 11, 2024.
