December 13, 1981. Marianna, a devout Catholic, decides to use the family celebration - the christening of her youngest grandson - to reconcile her children who have been arguing for years. The whole family comes together and Marianna believes that her children can reconcile. She is unexpectedly interrupted by General Jaruzelski, who announces martial law that day. In order to bring the family reconciliation to an end, Marianna decides to hide the truth about the situation in the country from her children. This seemingly small lie will trigger an avalanche of unexpected events that will be difficult to stop.
