Holy week is a loose adaptation of a Ion Luca Caragiale’s short story exploring the tense relationship between a Jewish innkeeper Leiba and Gheorghe, his Christian employee. When the innkeeper decides to fire him, Gheorghe becomes revengeful and issues a threat against Leiba who is doing his best to carry on in this anti-semitic environment.
