Who’s a good boy? Indy is a very good boy—always there to comfort and support his best friend Todd when he’s down. Which is a very good thing because his human companion is currently struggling to work his way through some challenges. Nothing a few good belly rubs or a game of fetch can’t fix, right? Well… Instead, the pair leave their city life behind for a long-vacant family home in the country. After moving in, Indy is immediately vexed by empty corners, tracking an invisible presence as he perceives spectral warnings from a long-dead dog. Meanwhile, Todd becomes entranced by a series of VHS video messages left behind by his grandpa (horror legend Larry Fessenden). Haunting visions of the grim deaths experienced by the house’s previous occupants soon begin to plague Indy. As Todd succumbs to the dark forces swirling around the house, Indy must battle a malevolent entity intent on dragging his beloved human into the afterlife. Featuring what might be the best canine performance of all time and winner of the SXSW Howl of Fame Award, Good Boy offers a unique spin on phantasmagoric horror, reinvigorating the tropes and conventions of the classic haunted house tale reframed by a literal dog’s-eye view.
