Time Travel Is Dangerous
What would you do if a time-travel bumper car fell into your lap? If you’re Ruth and Megan of North London, you use it to find and sell antiques at your vintage shop, of course, regardless of the consequences reverberating across time and space.

London vintage shop owners and BFFs Megan and Ruth have two big problems: one, it’s getting too dang hard to find quality vintage merchandise to sell; and, two, Rick Dickinson, their prick landlord, who would love nothing more than to turn their shop into luxury flats. Then one morning, the pair come across an abandoned time machine while dumpster diving in a back alley. Their fortunes immediately change as they raid the past for a swelling inventory of retro fashions, sought-after collectibles, and pricey antiques—all remarkably well preserved for their age. As you might expect from the film’s title, our heroines’ repeated chrono-journeys don’t go off without some minor consequences: a few wormholes here, the very fabric of the universe unraveling over there, you know, NBD. Seeking “professional” assistance, the pair join an eccentric community of fringe scientists and inventors. Just in time, too, for when one of our heroines becomes trapped in an interdimensional rift, it will take the entire group’s technical knowledge to rescue her and restore the time-space continuum to normal. With nods to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Time Bandits, and “The Office,” Time Travel Is Dangerous is an often absurd yet always endearing comedic exploration of friendship and the physics of special relativity.
