Registration is still open for camps running through August 26, 2022 for students Aged 9-14
SEATTLE, WA – SIFF Summer Filmmaking Camps kicked off this week with Infinite Universe: A Creative Exploration of Green Screen. During these week-long camps, students will bring all the technical and practical elements of filmmaking to life through learning about stop motion animation, editing, sound design, special effects and more.
"We are thrilled to be back in-person and make movie magic with our favorite collaborators–inquisitive youth," says Megan Garbayo-López, SIFF Education Manager, "Our camps explore different areas of filmmaking from technical aspects to creative dynamics. At SIFF we are giving young people the foundation of exploring what a career in filmmaking could look like, and the tools to make that happen".
In creating space for all future filmmakers, SIFF is also offering Girls to the Front: Young Womxn’s Filmmaking Intensive, a camp designated for cisgender girls, gender non-conforming/gender neutral/non-binary youth, and trans youth to push their craft to the next level in a safe and supportive space.
The five-day camps will be held between 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (with optional extended care) and are available for students 9-14. The first session began June 20, 2022 with options through August 26, 2022.
