SEATTLE, WA - On Saturday, September 28, 2013, partygoers will sip from Washington's top vintners and bars, taste from the city's most acclaimed restaurants, and win fabulous auction items at the can't-miss party of the season: Sip for SIFF. This annual benefit for SIFF, the city's premier film organization - including the yearly Festival, year-round SIFF Cinema programming, and SIFF Education programs - invites our cherished film-loving patrons to gather together and celebrate being a part of one of Seattle's most beloved cultural institutions, now preparing to welcome its 40th year.
This year, in addition to delicious wine and food from our winery and restaurant partners, we're debuting a live bartender competition, featuring renowned bartenders from four of the city's most innovative cocktail spots. Guests will be invited to sample and vote on each bartender's original premium vermouth-based cocktail.
The irresistably biddable silent and live auctions include over 37 gifts, getaways, and baubles and will be hosted by local auctioneer, actor, and excellent-tux-wearer Ian Lindsay.
"Sip for SIFF is such a special night for our organization," says Mary Bacarella, SIFF's Managing Director. "We revel in any chance to show our patrons and partners what their support means to us, and we feel the next best way to do that - after our incredible programs, of course - is to throw them a fantastic party!"
