Vito (Giordano De Plano, also in Trust) and Carla (Laetitia Casta) have been separated for a few years. They loved each other desperately, before jealousy, hate and violence destroyed their love. Now Vito has a new life, Carla has a new partner, and their only bond is their three children Nicola, Rosa and little Mara. One day, after one of the children’s birthday parties, Vito disappears without a trace. His disappearance sets in motion a police investigation, which delves into the past of everyone involved and uncovers many hidden secrets in the search for the truth. But, in these cases, does a single, clear, irrefutable truth really exist? Based on Antonella Lattanzi’s 2017 novel, this story compellingly examines power relations and the blurred lines between right and wrong.
