“Nature is healing in this soul-enhancing, hopeful ode to the British countryside.”—TimeOut

When Isabella’s husband Charlie inherited the 1,400-hectare Knepp estate in West Sussex, the land was plainly suffering after decades of intensive farming. Transforming it wasn’t going to be easy, but the young couple decide to battle years of entrenched tradition, and dare to place the fate of their farm in the hands of nature. Embarking on a trailblazing 3,500-acre rewilding project, they rip down the fences, and hand the land back to the wild, entrusting its recovery to a motley mix of ancient breed pigs, flower-filled hedgerows, busy beavers, rare storks, and magical swarms of butterflies. Director David Allen chronicles their revolutionary journey, capturing the triumphs and setbacks as the soil replenishes itself, ultimately undergoing a transformation far in excess of anything anyone could have dreamed of — one that may change the way we think about nature and how we can heal our planet.
