One of the most iconic and prolific American filmmakers, David Lynch has made his mark on the world. His contribution to the realm of surrealism is second to none. His contorted visions often come face to face with a deep humanity that seeps into each of his films, expressing his deep understanding of the human condition. As a result, Lynch is able to warp our own perception of humanity, bending it to his will. Leaving most audiences disoriented and bewildered, Lynch understands the questions we don’t want to ask ourselves, and puts them on screen. Kicking off on June 16 with the Seattle Premiere of LYNCH/OZ—a new documentary diving into the directors long-standing obsession with The Wizard of Oz—comes a series celebrating the director’s filmography. Dreams & Nightmares: The Films of David Lynch reflects Lynch’s obsession with the dream realm and reality, or the lackthereof. Showcasing all of the director's features as well as shorts, we’re pleased to usher you into the surreal and ethereal world of David Lynch.
