A young woman grapples with the arrival of a mysterious stranger during the winter solstice.
Ocean’s Arrival is a new student-feature film written and directed by Giao Nguyen. This premiere will be held as an in-person premiere screening on May 5th at the SIFF Uptown Cinema, as well as streamable online between May 5-8th. This film also serves as the senior thesis project for Giao Nguyen at Seattle Pacific University.
On the winter solstice, four friends reunite at their family's beachside cabin after years apart. From the ocean, a mysterious stranger arrives seeking refuge, eventually pitting the friends against one another. Fantasy, fear, and reality blend together as the days unfold - culminating in a 60 minute psychological drama.
IN-PERSON: Doors open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7:30pm. The show will be followed by a Q&A forum with the team of Ocean’s Arrival. Seating will be first come first serve.
ONLINE VIEWING: A link to the film will be sent to you and can be viewed between May 5th at 7:30pm PDT through May 8th at 11:59pm PDT.
As all ticket proceeds will go towards re-fundraising for the production of this student film, all ticket sales will be final.
