It's a SIFF x Super Yaki summer! Get ready for our new series, Rewind, Be Kind, presenting ten films in partnership with the hottest movie merch and apparel shop, Super Yaki. Be sure to check out the new Super Yaki merch, including a SIFF x Super Yaki tee and tote bag, which will be sold at the Egyptian during the run of the series. Limited stock available for all designs.
In this series, we’ll be revisiting critical or commercial disappointments from 1999 through 2009 and asking ourselves to watch them again (or for the first time) with a kinder perspective, without the weight of box office reports or aggravated reviews holding us back.
Special guests Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing) and Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan (Josie and the Pussycats) are scheduled to attend for in-person film Q&As. We'll also be showing 35mm screenings of Sunshine and Punch-Drunk Love.
